I have a nest of buzzards near my painting studio and I often see them flying high up in the sky patiently searching for prey. When the buzzard hunts it strikes its prey from high up diving down with incredible speed. Other smaller birds often try to disturb his flight but they need to be careful as the buzzard has a sharp beak and sharp claws. The buzzard can also sit patiently on a pole for hours on end, waiting for their time to strike… The symbolism of this striking bird ? - to me - is that they inspire us to take the high road when faced with challenge from others - trying to take you down - as you are walking your own soul’s path and destiny.
